- Translate newsroom and business queries into meaningful solutions.
- Take charge of the entire analytics spectrum, with a focus on driving traffic to the website and social platforms (proficiency in Google Analytics is crucial).
- Make decisions on everything from technology to training and development.
- In this pioneering role as the Manager, Analytics and Insights, you'll oversee content and product analytics, playing a vital part in audience strategy.
- Work closely with various teams across the organization, including editorial, product management, marketing, and the executive team.
- Your efforts will shape how the publisher measures, produces, and distributes their journalism, leading experiments to enhance audience engagement and page optimization.
- Identify short-term wins and develop frameworks to measure and improve content performance.
- Create dashboards for stakeholders to easily interpret key data insights.
- Must be a Google Analytics expert.
- Located in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Demonstrated ability to boost website traffic through newsroom analytics.
- Strong analytical skills paired with emotional intelligence and relationship-building capabilities.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Looker Data Studio, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or equivalent coding languages.
- Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and data modeling.
- Project management experience.
- High data fluency.
- Ability to think strategically and act independently.
- Strong collaborator and persuasive presenter.
