Job Description:
Duties Design, manufacture, and assemble prototypes of soft wearable electronic devicesApply sound engineering and design principles for manufacturing of Client sensor integrations in wearable electronicsCommunicate with vendors on DFM and Manufacturing of designs for prototype buildsCollaborate with engineers and researchers to rapidly prototype hardware solutions, iterate, and run experiments.
Skills Must Have BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in building hardware prototypes, preferably in wearable consumer electronics, or a similar fieldExperience with 3D modeling software (Siemens NX or similar)Experience in consumer electronicsNice to Have Custom spring design, small form factor mechanism designHands on prototyping assembly with small, intricate componentsAnalytical modeling using FEA and hand calculationsExperience with FPC/PCB integrationCustom sensor instrumentation design, data acquisition, hall effect, custom capacitive sensorInstron force testingExperience collaborating and communicating effectively on multi-disciplinary teamsExperience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentEducation Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience requiredTop 3 must-have HARD skills:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in building hardware prototypes, preferably in wearable consumer electronics, or a similar fieldExperience with 3D modeling software (Siemens NX or similar)
