- Accumulate, analyze and process financial accounting data to prepare tax returns, tax return workpapers, estimated tax payments and tax provision workpapers
- Work with divisions and other departments to distribute and gather documentation for tax return filings
- Perform detail review of general ledger accounts
- Research and analyze tax laws, planning strategies and other tax issues
- Provide updates on tax legislative changes
- Assist with federal and state income tax audits including the preparation of responses to audit inquiries and notices
- Assist with various special projects and other administrative items
- Organize and maintain records of EFTP's
- Prepare other non-income tax filings
- Update job knowledge by participating in continuing educational opportunities and reading professional publications
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
- Able to travel overnight
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; or two plus years of experience and/or related training
- Master's degree; Big 4 CPA firm experience; CPA Certification or actively pursuing
- Strong verbal and written communications skills; work well under pressure to meet deadlines; ability to work independently, multi-task and provide attention to detail
