Job Description

A client near Kings County is searching for a Staff Accountant:

Staff Accountant

Performs basic month-end closing procedures including preparation of account reconciliations and create manual journal entries.
Prepare monthly financial reporting package
Analyze financial statement accounts, identify unusual trends or erroneous entries, and verify accuracy of transactions and balances.
Develop and implement procedures to streamline month-end close and other financial activities.
Assist with various projects that are assigned to the Accounting Department
Assist in weekly management reports KPI's
Understand sub ledgers and integration into accounting/enterprise systems
Fixed asset accounting
Familiar with Cost Accounting
Strong Excel Skills
High energy level relative to a strong desire to learn and understand the fundamentals in accounting, manufacturing and related areas, inventory, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Costing, Financial Reporting, General Ledger accounting.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Assist with any other duties as assigned.
Must have 5+ years of dairy experience

Qualifications
· BS. Degree in Accounting
· 2 Years of experience
