    About the job Staff Accountant

    Job Summary:We are seeking a talented and driven Staff Accountant to support our accounting and finance functions. The Staff Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Process accounts payable transactions, including reviewing invoices, obtaining approvals, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
    2. Assist with accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, posting payments, and reconciling customer accounts.
    3. Prepare and maintain accurate and timely bank reconciliations.
    4. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and supporting schedules.
    5. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    6. Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to ensure the integrity of financial data.
    7. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing support to senior finance staff as needed.
    8. Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records and documentation.
    9. Assist with internal and external audits, providing support to auditors and addressing audit inquiries.
    10. Adhere to internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and sales, to support business objectives and initiatives.
    12. Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis as assigned by management.
    Qualifications:
    1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
    2. 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles preferred; recent graduates are welcome to apply.
    3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
    5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    7. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
    8. Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
    9. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.
    10. CPA certification or CPA candidate is a plus.
