    Job Responsibilities

    The program coordinator will teach courses, design and develop curriculum, evaluate adjunct personnel and student performance, and advise students related to non-credit courses related to the culinary division. The program coordinator reports to the department head and dean, and the primary responsibilities are planning and scheduling classes and recruiting and assigning adjunct faculty for non-credit courses. The position includes programmatic development, marketing/advertising of programs, and community engagement and outreach.
    Minimum and Additional Requirements

    This position requires an associate degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a closely related field and four (4) years of progressively responsible related work/teaching experience. The preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a closely related field and two (2) years of related program experience or a master's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field and program experience. Certification through the American Culinary Federation (ACF) is also highly preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Candidate will have experience in a secondary, post-secondary or non-credit hospitality and foodservice classes. strong computer skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Credentials to include industry related experience and current ServSafe Manager Certification is a plus. Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.
