    Job DescriptionSalary:

    The Job

    The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will oversee provisioning, monitoring, and managing our cloud infrastructure (inclusive of the automation of these functions). The person in this role should have the desire to continually improve our cloud infrastructure design and provide a secure and highly available computing platform. In addition, the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will configure and maintain existing infrastructure components, implement upgrades, and utilize management tools to monitor & report on the reliability of the environment. The role will also be responsible for finding opportunities to improve our solutions architecture using cloud and cloud-native technologies. Even though the main focus will be on Azure cloud services, this role should be open to researching and learning about new technologies across the wide spectrum of cloud vendors.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Work with our network and infrastructure team to design, implement and manage cloud-based solutions to support our wide range of applications.
    • Define and document processes and procedures for managing the different cloud services, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
    • Define, implement, and monitor reliable data backup solutions to ensure availability and integrity of our customers' data.
    • Work closely with our development team to define, implement and run a comprehensive Azure DevOps strategy for our different projects and applications.
    • Work closely with the Information Security team to Implement security solutions for our cloud infrastructure and user endpoints, according to security standards and compliance requirements.
    • Work with peers in the network and infrastructure team to design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
    • Work closely with our QA and development teams to provide required support to our development and production environments.
    • Work with our Database Administration team to perform DB management activities, like DB backups and restores, DB queries, stored procedures creation, etc.
    • Work with our Information Security team to periodically run vulnerability scans and other security monitoring activities and implement remediation actions accordingly.
    • After hours support will be required to provide support when high impact incidents affect our cloud infrastructure or for deployments to production.

    Qualifications

    • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud technologies, especially Azure.
    • Experience working with Azure services like App Services, Azure SQL, SQL managed Instances, application insights, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus.
    • Experience with Azure security tools like Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure DDoS Protection is a strong plus.
    • Previous experience working with Azure Government region is a strong plus.
    • Strong understanding and experience of networking concepts like TCP/IP, routing, DNS, HTTP, TLS, IPSEC, etc.
    • Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus
    • Experience with Azure GCC is a plus
    • US Citizenship is required.

    Location

    For this role we are open to remote work anywhere in North America. Preference is for this person to be located in or near major FBO markets like New York, Chicago, Houston, South Florida, Southern California with access to a major airline hub
