Description

Role: Hardware Electrical Engineer I

Location: Westbrook, ME

Duration: 6 Months on W2

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Sustaining engineering, electronic component life-cycle management, instrument field complaint investigation and documentation to support these efforts.

· Root cause analysis tools to troubleshoot various levels of electro-mechanical sub- systems and instruments.

· Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationships.

· Works primarily in a standard office or lab environment with air conditioning, good lighting with a low to moderate noise level. May also visit and work in research labs, testing labs, production and other areas as well as vendor facilities as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

· BS in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred; or equivalent experience/combined education

· Generally 3+ years of experience in medical device

· Conducts measurements specified in test plans, documents and tabulates results, and provides engineering test reports as required.

· Experience in electronics design for test, manufacturing and assembly with an understanding of design impact on EMC, ESD and Immunity.

· Basic understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems and sub-systems.
