Role: Electrical Engineer (Medical Device)

Location: Boston, MA

Duration: 6 Months on W2

The position of Engineer, R&D is a technical engineering role focused on supporting the on-market products within our Toxicology (TOX) Business Unit, managed under the Infectious Disease business unit. This job description is subject to occasional review and potential changes by management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sustaining engineering efforts and managing electronic components life-cycle.
Utilizing root cause analysis tools for troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems.
Contributing to cross-functional teams and collaborating with external engineers and manufacturers.
Ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems standards.
Establishing and maintaining professional relationships internally and externally.
Working in office and lab environments, with occasional visits to research labs and vendor facilities.
Operating production equipment, tools, and precision instruments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

BS in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred; or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the medical device field.
Performing measurements, documenting results, and preparing engineering test reports.
Experience in electronics design for testing, manufacturing, and assembly, with knowledge of design impact on EMC, ESD, and Immunity.
