    We are looking for Merchandising Buyer to join our team in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. In this role, you will have a hand in the development and is responsible for execution of assortment and brand strategy, vendor negotiations and vendor relationships to deliver financial results for assigned product categories.

    **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

    Owns retail product P&L for assigned categories including development of financial plans and making real time adjustments to meet sales, margin %, margin $, and inventory turnover targets.

    Develops product assortments to support overall merchandising strategy and deliver financial results.

    Has input into development and is responsible for execution of all promotional activities for assigned categories including analysis, promotional planning, product identification, messaging, pricing, and presentation.

    Manages pricing strategy to meet margin % and $ targets.

    Manages vendor relationships for the purpose of improving margin, leading operational process improvements, and financial planning for the various categories and vendors. Involved in strategic negotiations events (CLR) in partnership with Merchandising Director, Sr. Buyer, and Finance.

    Manages vendor input into item portal, ensures item accuracy through partnership with Merchandise Specialist.

    Helps to execute a best in class site experience, including vendor shops, lifestyle showcases/shops., appropriate taxonomy, and enhanced search through partnership with Site teams.

    Monitors industry trends and conducts ongoing competitive analysis to inform buying decisions.

    Ability to think outside of the box to solve complex problems are key to success.

    **QUALIFICATIONS**

    Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Merchandising, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience required.

    5+ years of merchandising experience. Preferably in the multi-channel or Mass Retail industries.

    Self-starter with a high level of flexibility and commitment, and a strong drive to win.

    Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), problem-solving skills, and analytical skills.

    Proven leadership skills including leading projects, recruiting, developing and motivating teams.

    Adept at working cross functionally to achieve desired results.

    Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office tools to achieve results.
