    Description


    The Induction Applications Engineer will act as the de-facto technical expert to translate customer requirements into accurate and actionable technical proposals.

    This engineer works closely with technicians, sales and R&D


    Essential Functions:

    • Support sales with technical assistance to determine what possible solutions match customers'requirements
    • Interacts with customers either virtually or at customers' sites to understand requirements and provide a technical solution
    • Trade show preparation and participation. Assistance with the set-up of exhibitions for customerdemonstrations
    • Prepares, builds and repairs custom coils that meet customer specifications.
    • Start up support of induction systems at customers' sites.
    • Completes proper documentation and reports of services provided.

    Work Environment:
    This job operates in a lab and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    The position is also exposed to a warehouse environment where the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

    The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear.

    The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 35 pounds.


    Specific vision abilities are required by this position that include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


    Travel:
    Domestic and International travel may be required up to 25% of the time. Overnight and weekend travel may be required.


    Supervisory Responsibility:
    None


    Education/Experience:
    Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering
    1 to 3 years of experience in a Heat Treat or manufacturing related engineering position

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

    • Previous mechanical, electrical and electronic manufacturing experience.
    • Previous experience in relevant industry.
    Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in a dynamic manufacturing environment


    • Proficiency in MS Office Applications
    • Strong knowledge of Electrical Theory and/or strong mechanical aptitude
    • Familiarity with manufacturing
    • Induction heating experience a strong plus
    • Knowledge of brazing, soldering, and/or heat-treating a plus
    • PLC knowledge and familiarity a plus
