    Description
    A national financial services company located in Waltham, MA is active in their search for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will supervise general accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and control over financial transactions. This position demands strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles to scrutinize financial reports and predictions. The ideal Senior Accountant candidate will possess experience in team collaboration or management within an accounting context.

    Primary Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant Will Include

    Supervising monthly general ledger entries and overseeing monthly closing schedulesMonitoring bank balances through an online platform and daily recording of activities in the general ledgerPreparing precise and timely monthly account reconciliations, financial statements, and analysesLiaising with external auditors and supporting audit schedules and reportsGenerating precise and punctual internal and external reportsSpearheading process enhancements within relevant accounting functionsDocumenting, analyzing, and communicating monthly transactional specificsUpholding, monitoring, and documenting robust internal controlsUndertaking cross-training across various accounting functions

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of progressive corporate accounting experienceStrong understanding of U.S. GAAPProficiency in Microsoft ExcelHigh attention to detail with strong analytical skills
