- Participate in month-end close procedures, ensuring timely completion of all necessary journal entries.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of financial results, including journal entries and account reconciliations for various accounts.
- Daily reconciliation of bank accounts, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Post daily financial activity for various accounts with proper documentation.
- Provide guidance to staff accountants and support monthly balance sheet and P&L reviews.
- Assist in audits and contribute to improving monthly close processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for enhancement and troubleshoot issues.
- Required: Associates Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years' experience in Accounting/Finance with supervisory experience (preferred).
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts and internal controls.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, MS Office, and financial software applications.

Functional Summary:
As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the accuracy of the Financial Statements by ensuring that journal entries are completed following GAAP standards, backed by adequate documentation, and posted accurately and promptly. You will also assist in monthly close activities, ensuring all financial transactions are completed on time. Your role will involve accurate reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
