Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. If you have a passion for working with children and creating memorable experiences, this role is perfect for you.


Duties:


In Regards to Campers:

• Implement and follow a daily schedule.
• Supervise and engage campers in activities, games, and during lunch/recess.
• Plan and lead educational and recreational activities.
• Ensure camper safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Address and resolve conflicts and behavioral issues.
• Enforce safety guidelines and behavioral expectations.
• Report concerns to Camp administration

In Regards to Volunteers:

• Guide volunteers in leadership and counseling skills.
• Inform and enforce volunteer regulations and responsibilities.
• Ensure volunteer health and safety.
• Assist with smooth transitions and schedule adherence.

Additional Duties:

• Assist with front desk duties as needed.
• Collaborate with other counselors to create a positive camp environment.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to accomplish tasks with little direct supervision.
• College students
  PREFFERED.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experienced with children of all ages.
• Demonstrated skills in conflict mediation
• General knowledge of preferred.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Temporary


Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 25 per week

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (required)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (preferred)
• CPR Certification (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Rockville, MD required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Rockville, MD 20850: Relocate before starting work (required)
