    If you're ready to drive change and make history, apply nowWhat you'll doWithin the Manufacturing Engineering scope, Product Engineering evaluates, reports, and achieves manufacturability KPI's by consulting with R&D on optimal product design.

    Success is achieved by intimate knowledge of product design, production process and project management.

    The "Manufacturing Engineering Energy System" is responsible for all parts in the HV and LV energy system, such as Thermal-Management System, HV-Battery and AC system.

    You will report to the Manager, Drive and Energy Systems at Production Planning.

    Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:Your goal is to influence and improve technical concepts to achieve robust manufacturing conditions, implement manufacturing requirements and standards in technical concepts, validate manufacturing concepts and product design for high volume manufacturing.

    Collaborate with Process Planning, manufacturing, quality, production control, R&D engineering to provide product design and product concepts according to the needs of General Assembly and Battery Assembly.

    Use CAD-Data
    • Analysis, Simulations and virtual tests to identify risks for high volume manufacturing.

    Ensure that all products are designed to meet assembly requirements and that product design incorporates feasibility, buildability and ergonomics for high volume manufacturing with minimal rework in series production.

    Take responsibility for all communication between production, planning, manufacturing and engineering department as Single point of contact for all vehicle design / concept related topics.

    Use cross-departmental collaboration to meet and exceed company goals and objectives in manufacturing design.
    Coordinating activities within the team that outline and achieve project goals.
    Providing instruction and guidance about required techniques and regulations.


    Location & Travel Expectations:
    The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. The role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina, starting 2025. Until then, you will be required to be in the Novi, MI area frequently.

    Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company.

    Here's what else you'll bring:

    3+ years professional experience with expertise in manufacturing engineering or production planning (General Assembly or Battery Assembly), including ability to achieve stable production processes.

    Deep knowledge of vehicle engineering processesBachelor's/ master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalentSkillful at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships.

    Proficient in CAD Data Analysis, CATIA V5, Team Center, 3DX or similar applications.
    Creative and strategic problem solver who exercises sound judgment.

    Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
    Initial base salary range = $110, $130,000.
