    Description
    Insight Global is looking for a Fortinet Network Engineer to join the Bureau of Technology
    Services team and help lead projects that require firewall and networking experience. The team is
    currently working to move an onsite Police records management system to a cloud (vendor hosted)
    solution that are behind FortiGate firewalls. Another project is to fully deploy Axon body worn cameras
    for the Portland Police Bureau officers. The project team is responsible for managing, maintaining, and
    supporting a variety of mission critical networks. This resource will interface with members of this
    team and other technical teams, project managers, and internal/external City customers

    Required Skills & Experience

    5+ years of experience supporting enterprise networks
    -2+ years of experience supporting Cisco IOS networks, preferably OSPF

    • Experience with both Juniper and Fortinet firewalls
    • Stringent record keeping & documentation skills in all areas of network
    diagramming, provisioning, troubleshooting, and change control.

    • Evidence of an ability to work primarily in a support role, performing
    log reviews, patching, creating/updating documentation, and managing

    a ticket queue.

    • Proficiency in routing, switching and network technologies including
    firewalls, load balancers and supporting enterprise networks.

    Nice to Have Skills & Experience

    • Experience with Cisco IOS, DNAC, Arista EOS, FortiOS, F5 load balancers,
    and Linux.

    • Experience in creating and update network diagrams using Visio.
    • A firm understanding and experience with deploying Cisco routers,
    Cisco switches and firewalls.

    • Experience with site to site VPNs, SSL inspection and other security
    features.

    • Experience troubleshooting problems with a network centric approach,
    utilizing the OSI model as a framework.

    • Understanding of TCP/IP, and ability to troubleshoot applications by
    analyzing packet captures.

    • Ability to troubleshoot under stressful conditions

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
