    Network Engineer III - Portland, United States - CorVel

    Description


    The Network Engineer isresponsible for participating in the planning, design, implementation and support of the Enterprise Network Infrastructure, to include WAN, LAN, VPN and Wireless architectures.

    The network is comprised of multiple datacenters and over 80 locations across the United States and its territories. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting network performance, incident response, creating network documentation and management of hardware lifecycles.

    This is a remote role.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS &


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Identifies and installs hardware/ software/ and network purchases
    Administers and maintains the Company's network infrastructure in compliance with all applicable standards
    Performs complex tasks relating to network monitoring, operations, and maintenance
    Provides Tier 3 support for network issues
    Develops project plans for, and assists in the implementation of, all network implementation activities of high level of complexity
    Regularly works with other departments as a subject matter expert
    Work directly with the security team to help develop and establish network security standards
    Proactive communicator with all levels of staff and management with the ability to maintain open communication with others
    Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
    KNOWLEDGE &


    SKILLS:
    Extensive hands on experience with Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller
    Advanced knowledge of Cisco routing and switching (at the CCNP level)
    NextGen Firewall systems
    Wireless Networking
    EDUCATION &


    EXPERIENCE:
    Seven or more years of experience or equivalent in education as a Network Engineer to include evaluating, developing, customizing, installing, implementing and maintaining Cisco data network systems according to best practices


    PAY RANGE:
    CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location.

    Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors:

    federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions.

    Our ranges may be modified at any time.


    For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

    The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

    Pay Range:
    $79,704 – $132,692
