Dispatch Clerk - Florence, United States - Cream O Land
Description
The Dispatch Clerk will assist the Operations department with day to day task to include receiving of emergency or non-emergency calls, monitoring driver activities throughout the day, record keeping and addressing any customer concerns.
-Duties/Responsibilities:
- Answers incoming calls and communications.
- Coordinates response and delivery of received information to field staff.
- Assist dispatch department and deploys staff, vehicles, and/or units based on communications received.
- Adeptly uses multiline telephone system, mobile phones, and other communications methods and networks.
- Maintains calm communication with and provides instruction to incoming callers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to execute directions accurately and with speed.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
- Ability to operate or to quickly learn a variety of communications systems.
- Must have knowledge of MS office products including Excel.
- Bilingual preferred.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working with dispatching equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
