    Job Description:

    The SUNY System Administration Technology Intern will be responsible for providing specialized and value-added networking, database, and user services to the entire State University Systems and U-Wide business applications

    Our intern will be assigned tasks that are geared towards enhancing our local network and the networks of our customers, voice service administration, management of various support-related servers, asset management, and end-user technology implementations.

    These tasks may include:

    Network redesign
    IPS/IDS configuration and review
    Asset Management
    Researching vulnerabilities
    MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) deployments
    Device Imaging and deployment
    Endpoint Security configuration and review

    Requirements:

    A successful intern will:
    • Be a current undergraduate full-time enrollment at a SUNY campus
    • Have a basic understanding of computer networking concepts
    • Be familiar with Microsoft operating systems and Office suites
    • Have a basic understanding of server, VoIP, and networking concepts
    • Be passionate and driven to engage our customers and offer unique solutions
    • Have an openness to new ways of thinking and acquiring new skills to retain a competitive advantage
    Additional Information:

    Salary: The rate for this position is $15/hour for undergrad; $16/hour for graduate students.
