ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Under immediate supervision will perform a wide variety of routine paraprofessional, technical, administrative, and specialized work involved in receiving and reviewing backflow permits, test reports and scheduling of backflow and irrigation inspection requests.

Prefer working knowledge of backflow software systems (Tokay or similar system). Creates and maintains backflow records and inspection files. Assist and interact directly with project sponsors, permit expediters, contractors, the general public and other department representatives. Perform routine and accurate data entries into various computer systems.

Receive a variety of routine problems and complaints and directs them to appropriate division and staff, research public records regarding construction, permits, insurance certificates and legal descriptions.

Assist in the use of fee schedules, calculating, collecting, recording and balancing permit related monetary transactions, and maintain various permit related documents and data, prepare routine correspondence as directed.

Provide customer service to internal and external customers. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position requires High School Diploma or GED with minimum of two (2) years of experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
