ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Non-rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Must be available to work additional hours as needed. Required to be on call after hours - one week per month.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for sign maintenance to include: installing and maintaining signs, checking the condition of all signs, installing adapters for signs and removing all debris causing visual obstructions.

Additional duties include pavement marking, requiring to check the daily schedule and service requests for work to include:

inspecting equipment and reporting safety hazards and maintenance problems; mixing and preparing paint materials to be applied in the field; driving to work areas and setting up traffic control patterns; surveying marking conditions, setting up equipment to be used.

Will maintain inventory in truck by doing daily cleaning of the truck, loading with work materials, and ensuring required tools and equipment are ready as required.

May be asked to perform others duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Work requires graduation from high school or GED and one (1) year of experience. A valid driver's license is required.

Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.

Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.

This position is classified as Safety Sensitive.
