    Job DescriptionSalary:

    Staff Accountant (3 days onsite, 2 days remote after 5 days onboarding on-site process)

    Summary

    The Staff Accountant will be a core member of the Finance & Accounting team with a focus on Accounts Payable. An ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and knowledge of operational accounting and finance functions. As the Company grows, this role will be given opportunities to own Finance and Accounting processes as well as to work strategically with senior management to improve and grow the business.

    Responsibilities:

    • 3 days on-site, 2 days remote after completing 5 days on-site onboarding process
    • Perform the day-to-day accounting activities with primary ownership of the accounts payable function
    • Prepare account reconciliations while taking advantage of the tools available in NetSuite
    • Frequently review the accounting system (NetSuite) to ensure the proper, complete, and accurate record-keeping of AP transactions are performed under the guidelines provided by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Maintain strong customer and vendor relationships
    • Help develop and implement improvements to the Company's current accounting procedures
    • Assist in the coordination of annual audit documentation and meetings with external auditors
    • Prepare financial reports, as requested by management, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing Company information and trends
    • Provide answers to accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
    • Assist in the Company's monthly customer billing process to ensure all customer invoices are accurately calculated and clearly documented in supporting schedules
    • Evaluate various business transactions to determine the proper accounting treatment and suggest alternative strategies for structuring the transactions, if necessary
    • Perform other financial functions including processing of expense reports, daily cash reporting and other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of Corporate Accounting experience including Accounts Payable
    • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and corporate finance policies and procedures
    • Experience working in NetSuite is strongly preferred
    • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization
    • Problem solver with high degree of ethics and integrity
    • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be a self-starter and proactive communicator and exercise independent judgment.
    • Flexible and able to work in the ever-changing environment of a high growth company.
