    Description

    Technology Asset Management Consultant

    Location:
    Raleigh, NC/Atlanta, GA/ Wilson, NC/ Remote

    Duration: 4-6 months


    Description:

    Role Responsibilities:

    Working with Technology SMEs / Engineers to:
    Document how their assets are on/offboarded in and out of their system of record
    Define and Prioritize enhancements to on/offboarding workflows with ServiceNow developers
    Document how inventory records are maintained (i.e. data attribute accuracy, completeness of coverage)
    Develop procedures to reconcile inventory with discovery/management tools and define remediation activities
    Identify controls needed to ensure adherence to procedures (i.e. governance and reporting)


    Must Have Skills/Prior Experiences:
    Hardware Asset Mgmt - inventory and lifecycle management.
    Specifically for data center hardware (server, storage, network gear, appliances).
    Experience with ServiceNow's Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and/or Hardware Asset Management module


    Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences:
    Experience with Operational Technology (OT) or Internet of Things (IoT) devices
    Process documentation.


    Manager's Notes:

    • Hardware Asset Management and CMDB.
    • Experience with inventory management.
    • Implement/Enhance Reconciliation Process For Tech Assets.
    • Implement recon procedures for asset classes that cannot be showed by SNOW and/or asset outside of the CMDB.
    • Document how discrepancies are investigated or remediated.
    • Require experience with ServiceNow and CMDB structure.
    • Enhancing onboarding / offboarding process and controls.
    • Enhancing data quality attributes.
    • Working with the owners of devices/asset that cannot be discovered.
    • Reconcile assets with the CMDB (ServiceNow)
    • Working with stakeholders and SME's to identify data sources.
    • Comparing data sources to the CMDB.
    • Banking/Financial Services Industry will be helpful.
