Your role as Lead Buyer 'Basic Materials' in procurement will involve implementing exciting projects for the procurement of raw materials with international influence, and you will be responsible for chemical materials and related material groups.

In addition, you will carry out cost-saving projects with various interfaces to operations and R&D, and lead strategy projects to align your material groups.


You will also:

  • Analyze procurement markets, visit suppliers, be responsible for tenders and organizing pitches, and communicate results
  • Analyze opportunities, risks, and current and future material supply in terms of technology, quality, and costs
  • Prepare and conduct negotiations with suppliers and implement contract agreements

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed studies in the field of industrial engineering or natural sciences with basic knowledge of chemistry
  • A strong service mentality and awareness of working as a purchaser in a highly interfaceoriented organization
  • Analytical skills, as well as a high level of assertiveness and cost awareness
  • A high level of willingness to learn, also outside of procurement, for example in operations processes or project management
  • The ability to lead a variety of stakeholders towards a common goal in a dynamic and intercultural environment
  • Fluent negotiation skills in English and German, as well as a willingness to travel and undertake temporary stays abroad
