    TITLE: Director, Marketing & Communications

    POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Exempt

    COMPANY: Sharks Sports and Entertainment, LLC

    LOCATION: San Jose, CA

    REPORTS TO: Vice President, Barracuda Business Operations

    PAY RANGE: The salary for this role is between $100,000 and $115,000 annually.

    The Director, Marketing & Communications plays a crucial role in driving ticket sales for the San Jose Barracuda by leading paid marketing initiatives. They collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment between paid and organic marketing efforts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage marketing, digital platforms, creative production, game presentation, broadcast, and PR/media relations.
    • Create marketing strategies to boost ticket sales and enhance brand exposure for the San Jose Barracuda and Tech CU Arena.
    • Enhance fan experience through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement media strategies across various channels.
    • Execute annual promotional calendar and innovative brand activations.
    • Oversee content strategy and demand generation efforts.
    • Monitor campaign analytics and compile relevant statistics.
    • Manage community outreach activities and partnerships.
    • Ensure a positive brand image through media relationships and athlete management.
    • Lead Barracuda brand strategy implementation and maintain AHL relationships.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 2-3 years of team management experience
    • 6-8 years in performance marketing, digital marketing, or media buying
    • Experience in sports and entertainment industry is a plus
    • Strong analytical and communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing tools
    • Dedication to brand evolution and project management
    • Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
