    Description

    Clinical Education Specialist RN

    • Develop and lead education programs for specialized patient care within clinical protocols using evidenced-based research and national standards
    • Perform as a unit educator by training staff and students and performing clinical instruction on home unit
    • Collaborate with Clinical Educator, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Unit Director to plan and implement pertinent curricula
    • Monitor trends and implement educational strategies to ensure quality standards and patient safety parameters are achieved
    • Provide safe direct patient care within nursing protocols and assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing
    • 18 months of directly related experience
    • Current New Mexico RN license or RN license recognized by reciprocity by the State of New Mexico
    • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers
    • Instructor in Unit-Required Certifications within 90 days
    • Instructor in BLS, ACLS, NRP, or other instruct certification preferred

    Physical Conditions: The ability to lift up to 100 pounds is required. Work may involve exposure to chemicals and biohazardous materials, requiring personal protective equipment.
