    Job Description

    Job Title: Virtual Designer (BIM/REVIT Expert)

    We are currently looking for a motivated Virtual Designer with expertise in BIM/REVIT. In this role, you will create electrical shop drawings using your knowledge of computer-aided drafting (CAD/REVit) systems. We seek a team player with excellent communication skills who can handle multiple projects simultaneously.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Generate 3D models using superintendent's layouts in AutoCAD MEP/Revit and NavisWorks.
    • Conduct BIM coordination, including clash detection and resolution using NavisWorks Manage.
    • Manage the General Contractor-led BIM coordination process for our models.
    • Train Detailers to create detailed shop drawings.
    • Coordinate with operations team, General Contractor, and MEP Trade team members.
    • Assist in maintaining WEI's AutoCAD/Revit templates, details, and standards.
    • Create a bill of materials for procurement and labor tracking.

    Essential Requirements:

    • High School diploma/GED.
    • CAD Associates degree or relevant work experience.
    • 2-5 years of CAD experience in commercial construction.
    • Proficiency in Autodesk software (AutoCAD MEP) and REVIT.
    • Experience with NavisWorks for BIM model information extraction.
    • Ability to interpret construction blueprints and project specifications.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Capacity to juggle multiple projects.
    • Openness to learning and following instructions from Senior Virtual Design team.
    • Attention to detail and meeting project deadlines.
    • Self-motivated and effective in independent and team environments.
    • Pass a drug screening test.
    • Authorized to work in the United States.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in electrical construction.
    • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
    • Background in Electrical Field Experience and/or Electrical Theory.
    • Knowledge of Bluebeam.

    Work Environment:

    • The role is primarily office-based, with occasional job site visits to interact with employees, subcontractors, and trades.

    Physical Demands:

    • Talking and listening are regular requirements.
    • Physical activities include standing, walking, handling objects, and reaching.
    • Operates in an office setting and uses standard equipment like computers and phones.
    • May involve filing tasks that require lifting and bending.
    • Ability to perform arithmetic operations accurately.
    • Handle materials weighing 10-25 lbs.
    • Visual acuity and perception are necessary.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Focus and clarity.
    • Color perception.
    • Depth perception.
    • Vehicle operation or travel.
