    Description

    job summary:

    A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Pontiac, IL area.

    This role involves applying engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes, collaborating with a team to support production, troubleshoot machine issues, and ensure quality standards are met, requiring technical expertise.

    Contract salary: $ per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Associates responsibilities: Study time, motion, methods, and speed to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.

    Interpret engineering drawings and confer with management to determine quality and reliability standards.
    Develop, improve, and qualify processes on new or existing machines.
    Aid in planning work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, and production schedules.
    Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, and material handling.


    Skills:
    Creativity, verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Team player, detail-oriented, ability to make sketches and common computations.
    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and computer-generated reports.
    Experience with engineering software applications.


    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's in manufacturing engineering or equivalent, with 1+ years of experience preferred.
    Associate degree with 3+ years' experience acceptable.8+ years' experience with no education acceptable.
