    Position Summary

    The Program Manager III will oversee activities for delivering unique, highly complex and reliable space and satellite products to government and commercial customers. The selected candidate will manage programs from contract kickoff to contract completion. The successful candidate will own the customer relationship and interact with multiple organizations including engineering, operations, quality assurance, contracts, finance, security, and executive teams. This is a hands-on position in a very dynamic and fast-growing environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Managing one or more external customer programs
    • Managing program communications internally to teams/stakeholders/leadership and externally to customers
    • Developing program objectives by reviewing contract documents and conferring with cross-functional management
    • Developing master plans and schedules
    • Leading and directing cross functional teams in execution of programs, building trust, efficiency, and accountability
    • Performing liaison function between Engineering and manufacturing operations for transition to production
    • Performing risk management by identifying, assessing, and mitigating impacts to programs
    • Meeting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
    • Work with quality personnel to ensure that all product deliverables are in compliance with contracts.
    • Managing subcontractor actions and performance
    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
    • Four-year degree in Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, etc. required.
    • 9 or more years of cross-functional program management experience
    • 7 or more years managing external customers for DoD, Aerospace, or related government programs.
    • Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Experience managing products from conception to production.
    • Experience working with suppliers and contract manufacturers as an integral part of the deliverables.
    • Ability to utilize excellent decision making and risk management skills to meet profit and schedule goals.
    • Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) experience and/or training to monitor program execution, report status, and manage risks.
    • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with rapid development aerospace environments (other than traditional, large prime contractors)
    • Familiarity with space avionics, including Communications & Networking Solutions, Cyber Security Solutions, Processing, Data Storage & Payload Interface Electronics Solutions, and/or Bus & Payload Integrated Avionics Solutions
    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is constantly required to communicate. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required prolonged periods in stationary position at a desk entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to move, position self, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally transport up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers, far visual acuity, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.


    Salary Range

    $155,000-$175,000 per year

    However, Innoflight considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. Employees may be eligible for profit sharing and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. In addition, Innoflight provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, 401K, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

    Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
