- Managing day-to-day job duties of pharmacy liaisons ensuring workflow and specialty pharmacy operations in relation to the work of the liaisons is being completed accurately and timely
- Assists pharmacist with weekly specialty pharmacy reporting needs
- Coordinates schedules for the liaisons/specialty staff and facilitates payroll for the liaisons/specialty staff
- Analyse and report financial impact of liaison team to senior leadership
- Ensures the liaisons are following all laws and rules in accordance to SHC Policy and the California Board of Pharmacy
- Problem Solves liaison related challenges/issues
- Ensure patients remain on track with medication regimen- outbound therapy/medication adherence checkups; secures refill prescriptions
- Communicate effectively with the centralized Patient Service Center
- Develops new processes to ensure smooth operations and patient care
- Creates and implements initiatives to help grow the specialty pharmacy liaison team.
- Update policies and procedures as needed
- Makes decisions that impact the departments ability to meet and achieve operational objectives on an ongoing basis
- Bachelor's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university
- 5 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

- Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility
- Knowledge of Medical terminology and abbreviations; pharmacology and pharmacological nomenclature; medical therapeutics, pharmacokinetics, and disease states
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Publisher and Word
- Knowledge of Hepatitis C, infectious disease, and/or oncology
- CA Licensed Pharmacy Technician preferred
- Category III - Tasks that involve NO exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, and Category I tasks that are not a condition of employment

A Brief Overview
The manager of specialty pharmacy- liaisons, oversees the day-to-day operational activities of the specialty pharmacy liaison team and ensures operational readiness on behalf of the liaison team.
They will also lead and support tasks related to onboarding and training new specialty pharmacy liaisons, and support the pharmacy director as needed.
This position manages a team of pharmacy liaisons as well as continues the work of a specialty pharmacy liaison to include functions allowed by the Board of Pharmacy.
The Manager- Specialty Pharmacy Liasion works under close supervision with the specialty pharmacists, and establishes a strong and credible relationships with patients, clinicians, and internal SHC staff.
The manager must be adept to financial impact of the liaison team to include modeling staffing needs, understanding productivity metrics and overall business operations as it relates to the liaisons.
The pharmacy technician liaison manager role may be located onsite at a pharmacy location, remote, or seamlessly integrating with the clinic team.
