    R Data Engineer

    Key Role:
    Support day-to-day operations focused on building a next-generation automated malware analysis system. Apply consulting and te chn ical expertise and full industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.

    E nga ge with multiple functional groups to comprehend client challenges, prototype new ideas and new te chn ologies, and help create solutions to drive the next wave of innovation.

    Interact with system administrators on the installation of sof tware applications, develop training materials and mentor junior team members, guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, c ond uct feasibility studies as required, and estimate resource requirements for sof tware tasks.


    Basic Qualifications:

    • Experience with database development design, and data modeling
    • Experience with coding languages, including Python, Java, or Spark, with integration into backend database platforms
    • Experience with implementing database te chn ologies, including SQL or Mongo
    • Experience with big data te chn ologies, including MapReduce, Accumulo, HBASE, Cassandra, or Elastic
    • Ability to utilize containerization te chn ologies, including Docker or Kubernetes
    • Ability to work well within a team environment to lead small to medium-scale projects throughout the project life cycle and document progress
    • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
    • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and 4+ years of experience with sof tware development, Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and 2+ years of experience with sof tware development, or 8+ years of experience with sof tware development in lieu of a degree

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Experience with industry best practices for the development of database solutions in cloud environments, including AWS
    • Knowledge of emerging te chn ologies and advancements in database design and management, data science, and machine learning
    • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required

    Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

    The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220, annualized USD).

    The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
