Job Title: Electrical Engineer at BAE Systems

BAE Systems is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join their team in a junior-level capacity. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with a group of diverse engineers to design, develop, and support the Navy's Aircraft Launch and Recovery system in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for an innovative thinker to contribute fresh ideas and drive our team forward into the future.

Focus on FPGA-based hardware with opportunities to learn essential systems engineering skills.
Create and enhance advanced technology capabilities in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Develop hardware/firmware designs, implement FPGA-based designs, and analyze modular system solutions.
Receive mentoring and networking opportunities with experienced professionals.

This position is based in Southern Maryland at the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor, offering a scenic and historic work location. Limited relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidates.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
5 years of experience in Hardware and FPGA Firmware design
Proficiency in Computer Aided Design and Xilinx FPGA Design using VHDL
Strong analytical skills and ability to develop creative solutions
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Math and Physics
Team player attitude and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Knowledge of Altium Designer and Xilinx Vivado ML Toolset
Strong familiarity with MATLAB, Spice Simulation Software, and RF hardware
Experience with Common RF Laboratory instruments and Printed Circuit Board fabrication processes
Understanding of RedHat Enterprise Linux, Python, and C/C++ programming

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range:
$128,480
