Education: Position necessitates a BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in the fields of Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in a role associated with the specified labor category is mandatory. Demonstrated expertise in the area of engineering is a must.

Position Overview:
ASI support will primarily focus on assisting the PMA-263 ISR Services programs. HWIL assistance will be provided as necessary for all PMA-263 UAS platforms the HWIL supports. The basic support responsibilities are detailed below:

ASI efforts will be concentrated on aiding the PMA-263 lead Government ship integrator in conducting ship installations mainly for the ISR Services IPT UAS platforms.

Support tasks include, but are not restricted to:

Participating in the design, development, and execution of UAS ship installations
Facilitating the creation of courses of actions, Ship Installation Drawings, and technical, operational, and logistical risk analyses and mitigations
Collaborating with MSC/NAVSEA/PY/ship OEM engineering departments on ship installations and repairs
Developing UAS system view drawings and ad hoc SIDs
Creating Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings
Assisting the lead Government ship integrator in developing ship alteration Initial Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
Contributing to Fleet/OPNAV Requests For Information (RFIs) for UAS support
Aiding in the generation and revision of Statements of Work (SOWs) and Performance Based Work Specifications (PBWS) for contracting actions
Assisting Government Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with technical evaluations and program reviews with UAS vendor OEMs
Assisting in the development and execution of OCONUS deliberate and emergency UAS/ship repair plans
Providing support for underway UAS ship installation "shakedowns"

HWIL support tasks include, but are not limited to:

Assisting the HWIL facility lead in overseeing HWIL activities
Gaining familiarity with the design and operations of UAS platforms supported by the HWIL
Supporting the Government HWIL team in troubleshooting UAS platform technical issues
Providing assistance in integrating technology onto UAS platforms
Supporting the prototyping of hardware necessary for successful UAS technology integration
Conducting V&V activities at various levels
Contributing to the development of documentation for system updates such as operations, installation, maintenance, and trouble-shooting manuals
Supporting PMA engineering meetings by providing insights into HWIL activities and technical inputs related to supported UAS platforms and integration activities

Required Skills:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to collaborate effectively with a team, both internally and with remotely located industry partners. Self-motivated and capable of producing results promptly in a rapidly evolving environment. Proficiency in ship design, aircraft support layout, and ship underway testing processes.

Travel:
Travel will be necessary, twice per quarter.
