- Project management of numerous large-scale and complex construction and renovation projects including planning, monitoring, and execution of technical and administrative aspects of the design and construction process.
- Coordinate, review and supervise plans, specifications, reports, and other design documents associated with new and rehabilitation building construction projects.
- Negotiate scope, cost and schedule of design consultant work order assignments.
- Negotiate and resolve critical issues at project meetings.
- Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Some travel is required.

Description
This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS)* and applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position:Required experience:
Eight years of experience** in multi-trade building construction projects, which must have included one year of managing multiple building construction projects, and experience managing multi-trade building construction projects shall include responsibility for three or more of the following areas:
No degree:
eight years of required experience.
Associate degree:
two years of required experience.
Bachelor's degree:
four years of required experience.
Master's degree:
five years of required experience.
Doctorate degree:
six years of required experience.
One year of the required experience must include the supervision of subordinate staff.
Applicants may also be appointed to this position if currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title OR are a current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 25 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description
At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected that NY HELPS employees will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to take an exam.
Employees will then be afforded with all the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State.
While serving permanently in a NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.
