NLS Lighting LLC is a small company that does big things We design and manufacture outdoor lighting fixtures.


This role requires an individual who possesses a strong proven background in Billing, Credit & Collection and Accounting with exceptional follow-through.

The job responsibilities must be completed with diligence, exceptional attention to detail, and in a timely fashion. The emphasis of this role consists of billing, posting customer payments, and auditing all customers' accounts.


Responsibilities and Tasks:


  • Prepare invoices and bank deposits.
  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies.
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Working with customers to find the best resolutions for payments on accounts.
  • Work closely with sales personnel to help collect funds and process payments.
  • Verify validity of A/R discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer service department and from customers.
  • Communicate with internal/external customers about A/R billingpayments discrepancies.
  • Maintenance of records of all A/R documents such as invoices, purchase orders.
  • Check AR Aging, monitor and dispute all charge backs and short payments.
  • Monthly Accrual & General Ledger work.
  • Sales Tax compliance.
  • Preparation of monthly statements and account reconciliations.

Job Requirements:


  • 5 plus years of prior experience working as Account Receivable Specialist/Bookkeeper.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • Expert level knowledge of ERP system, preferably SAP Business One.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, speaking and writing).
  • Proficient in MS Office software, e.g., Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Highly motivated to respond quickly and get projects and tasks done.
  • Working knowledge of Avalara Sales Tax software (preferred).

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour


Experience:


  • Accounting: 5 years (required)
Microsoft Excel: 6 years (preferred)
