    Director of Engineering - Middleware, Communications, Operating Systems

    The Role

    The team are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead and grow a team of elite software engineers who are working on some of the most challenging problems in multi-agent autonomy.

    As leader of this team, you will be pivotal in creating an integrated product that provides the foundational software layers upon which their autonomy products are operated. The product has three primary components: Middleware, Communications, and Operating Systems.

    Qualifications

    • Strong fundamentals in software engineering and architecture across the software development life cycle.
    • An instinct for people management of both small and large engineering teams.
    • Extensive experience with modern C++ and the development of middleware, communications, and/or operation systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to build, lead and train a software engineering team at scale.
    • You can recognize efficiency and inefficiency in software engineering processes; prioritize remedies based on accurate cost-benefit analysis; and then lead engineering teams through the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of the remedies.
