- Develop Construction Sequence & Schedule at project start-up and maintain it throughout the project.
- Plan and supervise activities of Assistant Superintendent, craft personnel, and determine construction methods, efficient manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedule.
- Understand project estimate and budget, review submittals, and manage sub-contractor and supplier contracts.
- Assist in preparing, managing, and updating project schedule with the project team.
- Establish punch list process and close-out procedures with Project Manager, Owner, and Architect.
- Procure tools, materials, and equipment for the project, and provide mentorship and training to employees when needed.
- Collaborate in developing and managing the Pre-Construction Schedule with the Project Manager.
- Offer technical expertise during the Preconstruction process and participate in Constructability Review and Value Engineering.
- Create site logistics plan.
- Ensure that all project personnel and Sub-Contractors understand and implement job safety requirements.
- Identify and address safety hazards on the jobsite, aiming for zero injuries on all projects.
- Report jobsite incidents/accidents promptly and participate in onsite safety meetings.
- Communicate the owner's construction goals to all field personnel and maintain positive relationships with Owners, Architects, Program Managers, and Inspectors.
- 5-10 years of commercial construction Superintendent experience.
- BS or BA in Construction Science/Engineering or equivalent commercial construction experience.
- Experience in Higher Education projects and managing project schedules.
- Familiarity with local subcontractors in Houston, TX, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with CMiC and Asta is a plus but not mandatory.

Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is looking for a Superintendent to join their team in the Greater Houston, TX area, specifically in East Texas Regional Team. The Superintendent will oversee various aspects of assigned projects, such as field operations, site safety, schedule, quality of work, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
