Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various hand tools and specialized, light, and heavy equipment. Preferably the candidate will possess knowledge of water and reclaimed water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Candidate must have the ability and willingness to work outside in a subtropical climate, adverse weather conditions, and high noise levels. The job also requires lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, climb ladders up to 35 feet, and work in confined spaces and manholes. The ideal candidate will also have the flexibility to work overtime, rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. As well as the ability and willingness to respond to emergency situations such as floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, and other natural and/or unnatural crises to provide for public health and safety and possibly working extended hours during times of emergency. Emergency Management Responsibilities

Career Progression
Employees in this broadband classification that acquire the competencies and minimum qualifications for the next tier will automatically advance to the new tier upon submission of appropriate documentation of qualifications.
