    Description

    Job Description:
    Owns the development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more components ofan environment, application, or platform.
    Independently develops clean, maintainable, testable code for work assigned; performs peer code reviews.

    Participates in the overall health, performance, and availability and actively works resolution of system and client experience impacts for one or more environments, applications, or platforms.

    Embraces mentorship and training from senior engineers.
    Provides continuous improvement ideas to reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency.
    Applies recommended information security standards when developing code and seeks to validate.
    Assesses the technical viability of new and emerging products and technologies.
    Contributes to technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts for developing code.
    Identifies potential standards and best practices.


    Responsibilities:
    Project Planning/Execution

    Working with LOB/Business to develop Business requirementsTranslating Business Requirements to Technical RequirementsTranslating Technical requirements to Technical SpecsWork closely with BA's/Programmers to set appropriate timeframes and expectationsTrouble shooting errors/issuesStatus ReportingTest planning/executionDeveloping Implementation plans/Execution of planAbility to multi task

    Personal Skills


    Ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical resourcesEffectively work with other technical areas (DBA's, EA, Network,Support...)Ability to work effectively with VendorsPrioritize issues, taskBe proactive, don't wait until small issues become big issues.

    Escalate when needed, get help when needed.


    Minimum Requirements:
    Strong experience as a Technical Lead/ Tech Lead mentoring and leading teams.

    Good understanding of different Technologies:
    CloudNetworkServersDatabases (Oracle, SQL,etc.)Mainframe(nice to have)File transfer software (Bizlink nice to have)Programming Languages.
    Tools (Excel, vsio, etc.)"Java would be a nice to have, but we are trying to sunset that. XML/XSLT, Oracle SQL Plus. .Net experience would be nice.

    The tech lead will not be doing a lot of programming (if any) but having a solid programming background logically understanding programming logic, standards, concepts, etc.

    Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
