Michael Lacey

I'm a software engineer with experience in a variety of languages and frameworks, coming from a manufacturing career where efficiency is key. My projects utilize JavaScript, Python, React Express, and Flask. I'm currently looking to improve on all of my skills using the integration of my previous projects. 
I have a passion for learning and strive to become a better software developer. Transitioning into the tech industry has allowed me to stretch my creative and technical abilities. My toolbox so far consists of:

Coming from a manufacturing background in Coca-Cola where efficiency and the high speed of production is what is sought after. I was always trying to implement new ideas to speed up the production line. I was able to have the warehouse change their label system and have everything changed over for the next product within such a short period of time that I would train other shifts.

I attended App Academy, which is one of the hardest Software Engineering bootcamps with over 880 curriculum hours. They taught us how to read documentation, debug, and build full stack applications. I can take an empty vs code file and build it into a functioning website, involving the signing up of users, or added security. I'm proficient in both Express and Flask, so having a JavaSript or Python backend to me is something I'm familiar with. I've built all 3 of my full stack projects using React.js and I'm working to make a real world live e-commerce site currently. The languages in my toolbox consist of : JavaScript , Python, Express, Flask, Node.Js, Sql, Api, React, Api, postman, and I'm going to start learning C++.
