    FP&A / Financial Analyst - Full Time - Exempt

    **Please note the this is mainly an IN OFFICE position (Monday - Thursday in office and Fridays from home).**

    Summary

    As an FP&A / Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving financial planning, analysis, and guiding the decision-making processes for North America. Under the direction of the VP of Finance and our CFO, the successful candidate will develop a reliable financial forecasting model (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), help with consolidations of financial statements, create ad hoc reports as required and prepare quarterly financial presentations for Management highlighting business and financial performance. The person should be a self starter, innovative and should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing their skills to develop projection models and financial reports as needed, in addition to highlighting financial trends and anomalies to leadership.

    The preferred candidate should possess a strong familiarity with Workday Adaptive, advanced proficiency in Excel, adeptness in crafting presentations with PowerPoint, and a track record in financial planning, forecasting, and model development aligned with business market strategies.

    Your Objective:

    • Develop a good knowledge of the business processes and objectives.
    • Develop and maintain a financial forecasting model in line with the objectives and business model.
    • Monitor actuals vs budget and look for ways to improve modeling.
    • Work with the data team to gather additional information into the reporting Workday Adaptive reporting system that will strengthen the financial forecasting and provide additional insight into financial performance.
    • Creating dynamic, high-level dashboards capable of generating diverse graphical representations of financial data, along with explanatory materials for presentation to company leadership.
    • Compile quarterly financial presentations for Management and board members with high level graphical presentations along with explanations.
    • Review of customer transactions for unusual trends or fluctuations.
    • Monitor monthly financials for unusual variances or anomalies.
    • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
    • Participate in a variety of special projects as assigned by the VP of Finance or CFO.
    • Be an active employee in finding continuous improvements, cost reductions or eliminating non-value-added tasks to streamline processes.
    • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
    • Proven experience with Workday Adaptive or related tools (E.g. Anaplan, IBM Planning Analytics, PBCS)
    • Deep understanding of financial metrics.
    • Advance proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for financial analysis and presentation creation.
    • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and model creation aligned with business market strategies.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and anomalies.
    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Experience working for a publicly traded company.
    • Relevant industry experience in electrical wholesale.
    • Experience with Workday Adaptive.
