    Job Summary

    The Automotive Business Development Specialist (BDS) is a pivotal role responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within the automotive industry. This position entails developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including automotive suppliers and direct customers, to drive growth and profitability for Senergy.

    As a BDS, You Will

    New Business Development
    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the automotive industry, including OEMs, suppliers, and aftermarket channels.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
    • Negotiate and close business deals with automotive customers that drive volume and profitability growth for Senergy.
    • Develop strategies, terms, and conditions that align with company objectives and customer requirements.
    Relationship Management/Trends
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including automotive suppliers, OEMs, and direct customers.
    • Collaborate with internal departments, including sales, marketing, and product development, to support automotive segmented customers and address their specific needs.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry developments, market trends, and competitor activities within the automotive sector.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders based on industry analysis and competitive intelligence.
    Customer Business Reviews
    • Generate key customer business reviews on a planned interval to assess performance, address concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to develop action plans based on customer feedback and insights.
    Sales Process Coordination
    • Work closely with sales leadership to navigate automotive opportunities through Senergy's sales process, from initial lead generation to deal closure.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support throughout the sales cycle.
    Additional
    • May assist in providing developmental feedback to other sales representatives.

    • Frequent work around equipment, machinery, and vehicles.
    • Occasional work in dusty, wet, dirty environments and exposure to fuel and fuel fumes.
    • Occasional work in hot or cold environments.
    Physical Demands
    • Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
    • Able to move freely around work and customer sites.
    • Able to climb stairs and ladders, kneel, bend, and stoop.
    • Able to lift up to 75 lbs.

    • Able to move about office setting to complete responsibilities.
    • Frequent use of phone, computer, and office equipment.
    Travel
    • Local area continuously.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Required
    • Three (3) or more years' experience in outside sales in B2B environment or a related field in an associated industry.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Excellent presentation skills.
    • Able to develop and close sales processes.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.
    • Strong business acumen.
    • Adheres to the company's values and ethical expectations.
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
    Preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
    • Sales or operations experience in lubricant and fuel industry.
    • Experience using CRM Solutions and NetSuite.
    • Knowledge of businesses in work area.
    • Experience in Marketing in B2B and consumer arenas.
