Duties:


As the Supervisory Chief of Staff you will:

  • Provide guidance and direction carrying out operations and ensuring achievement of progressive improvements and economy in all operations. Keep Senior Executive Leadership informed of overall status of work in progress and situations that involve controversial findings, issues, or problems.
  • Initiate, lead, or conduct studies of administrative or management policies and/or program requirements encompassing many different business processes, practices, disciplines, or
functional specialties to profoundly change or influence the effectiveness of government wide or departmental management practices, delegations and program operations OR their projected
impact on critical, strategic corporate/departmental management objectives.

  • Develop tactical and strategic initiatives; plans activities to achieve missions, identifying prospective obstacles and resolving difficulties before they arise, as well as launching new initiatives to address emergent positive or negative trends and concerns.
  • Lead organizational, operational, and administrative elements; direct initiatives; oversee internal and external communications; guide audits; issue directive actions; track budget and staff; and monitor performance goals.
  • Create and maintain enduring crossdepartmental relationships to enable leadership success. Represent senior executives in conferences and meetings with representatives of NNSA, DOE,
and/or federal agencies to plan future operations, coordinate support, and resolve issues in
specific problem areas.

1. Experience managing complex processes relating to organizational policy, human capital, task tracking, logistics, budget, and/or communications.

"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include:

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
