    Job DescriptionHow You Will Make an Impact:Production Engineer Functional Role Ensures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance Enters production into SAP, reconciles SAP inventories, and other associated SAP transactions Provides technical support needed to troubleshoot equipment, improve processes, process controls (DCS) and related issues Provides training on and leads advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving processes Works collaboratively with Quality on chemistry related issues Develops project scopes and process engineering packages for new installations and retrofit of facilities Assists in the plant formulation, process safety review, SOP(s) creation, process implementation, start-up support and operator training Leads or assist in the incident and near miss investigation processes to mitigate risk or resolve Develops and revises equipment SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)

    Responsible for participating in PHA's (Process Hazard analysis) for existing processes as well as new product initiatives Ensures that the MOC (Management of Change) is adhered to and effectively executed for changes impacting production process, equipment, and instrumentation Supports the development of KPIs and goals aligned with the continuous improvement process; monitors KPI performance to identify and address performance gaps Prepare technical progress reports on active projects and initiatives Satisfies all Corporate Quality Requirements and ISO9001 Quality Management System Practices Responsible Care 14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System and adhere to the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care 14001Driving a Culture of Continuous Improvement Partners to drive LEAN/Six Sigma, continuous improvement of processes and operations for increased productivity and efficiency (Operational Excellence) Actively participates in a culture of continuous improvement through collaborative engagement and by providing suggestions in meetings and trainings to improves processes and systems Ensures work is accomplished through defined, measured, and continuously improved work processes; proactively identifies and leverages best practices developed across SIIgniting the Impossible Lives and supports SI's vision, mission, and values Models personal leadership through the exhibition of SI's Value-Based Behavioral Competencies Demonstrates strong personal awareness along and ability to build collaborative and productive relationships cross-functionally Actively seek to engage in SI Group's Culture of Continuous Improvement through personal and professional capability enhancementCreating Extraordinary Start With:
    BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, or demonstrated equivalency 0 - 5 years engineering experience in a chemical plant Chemical engineering knowledge including, but not limited to, an understanding of fluid transport, heat transfer, filtration, reaction kinetics, general process equipment High level of initiative, creativity, and energy Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a wide range of people
