Purpose/Introduction:
Chevron Phillips Chemical Company is currently seeking a LDAR Coordinator to join the Environmental organization located at the Sweeny, TX facility.
The LDAR Coordinator is responsible for the safe management of the Company's Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) programs at the facilities located in Sweeny, Clemens, and Old Ocean, Texas.
This position is also responsible for the recordkeeping systems, coordinating contractors, and providing ad hoc plant environmental support. Furthermore, the LDAR Coordinator will complete all regulatory reports as required.The LDAR Coordinator supervises a team of 17 Contractors (1 Site Supervisor, 1 Data Administrator, 15 Technicians of various skill levels).
Responsibilities:
- Develop/maintain Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge for the applicable LDAR regulations.
- Daily review of LDAR program to verify compliance.
- Manage LDAR Contractors to ensure adequate manpower is available to safely complete monitoring efficiently and accurately. Approve timesheets.
- Conduct routine LDAR meetings with the LDAR Contractors to ensure changes to facility procedures are relayed in a timely fashion. Review safety and toolbox topics.
- Conduct field audits to verify correct tags are being applied.
- Ensure leak repairs are completed according to the regulatory requirements.
- Complete authorization for delay or repair (DOR) paperwork and ensure the authorization meets the regulatory definition of a DOR. Track associated DOR emissions.
- Monitor rules and regulations pertaining to LDAR for changes and implement changes as necessary. Participate on LDAR Corporate Subcommittee.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of related experience OR a Bachelor's degree in engineering, a science related field, or EHS&S related discipline.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and superior written/verbal communication skills are required.
- Selfmotivated and able to selfdirect their schedules and timelines to achieve desired results.
- Ability to develop plans and execute strategies as required.
- Proficiency with MS office, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably chemical manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with a solid working knowledge in TCEQ and EPA LDAR regulations.
- Experience with Guideware software.
- FLIR camera experience.
