    Join us if you have the following qualifications:
    • Washington State RN license, AHA BLS, and AHA ACLS numbers with issue and expiration dates are mandatory for your application.
    • Per Diem positions require experience in medical-surgical care with a strong foundation in patient care and critical thinking skills.
    • Expect 12-hour shifts with a minimum availability of 3 shifts per month and the possibility of 1 weekend shift per month.
    • Work in an environment with 18 beds and a nurse-to-patient ratio ranging from 1:4 to 1:5.
    • Deal with patient admissions from PACU and ED that demand extended observation or direct admission.

    Essential Responsibilities:
    • Through the nursing process, continue to assess the nursing care needs of a specific patient group. Utilize nursing diagnoses to describe these needs and develop a written care plan accordingly.
    • Show proficiency in handling the physiological and psychological effects of normal aging, tailoring care to meet the needs of different age groups effectively.
    • Demonstrate strong communication skills with various age demographics served.
    • Recognize and address the psychosocial, cultural, and emotional needs of patients and their families in a compassionate manner.
    • Identify lifestyle risk factors in patients and integrate health promotion and preventive care into the nursing care plan.

    Basic Qualifications:
    • No experience required.
    • Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
    • Registered Nurse License (Washington) required upon hire.
    • Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.

    Additional Requirements:
    • Proficiency in communication, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in ambulatory care nursing.
    • Experience in primary nursing or case management.
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

    Location and Schedule Details:
    • Location: Washington, Seattle, Capitol Hill Main Building
    • Hours per Week: 1
    • Shift: Variable
    • Workdays: A minimum of 3 12-hour night shifts per month and 1 weekend shift
    • Job Schedule: Part-time
