- Dish Delivery: Safely and promptly transport food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate dining area, ensuring that the presentation and temperature of the dishes are maintained
- Communication: Coordinate with kitchen staff, servers and other team members to ensure that orders are accurate and complete; communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen
- Table Setup: Assist in setting up dining tables with necessary cutlery, glassware and condiments to prepare for guest service
- Guest Interaction: Provide a warm and friendly greeting to guests while delivering their orders and be responsive to any additional requests or inquiries they may have
- Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the food service areas, including clearing empty dishes, trays, and utensils from tables as needed
- Teamwork: Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff and other colleagues to ensure smooth service operations
- Safety: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, and handle food items with care to prevent accidents or contamination
- Guest Satisfaction: Strive to exceed guest expectations by providing attentive and courteous service, addressing any concerns promptly and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Previous experience as a food runner or in a similar role in a fine dining or luxury hotel setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand, walk and carry trays for extended periods

Spanning 35 acres on Montauk's Star Island, Montauk Yacht Club offers waterfront views, a private beach, three pools, multiple dining options and over 200 wet slips that can accommodate boats from small day cruisers to 300-foot superyachts. As the Food Runner at Montauk Yacht Club, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests enjoy a seamless dining experience. You will be responsible for delivering dishes from the kitchen to the restaurant or room service areas in a timely and efficient manner.
