THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.
Under the general supervision of the Senior Accounting Officer (Supervisor), the Accounting Officer (Specialist) performs routine, professional program accounting work of average complexity related to the Claims Processing and Benefit Payment Control activities that include fraud prevention and detection, establishment of overpayments, employer and claimant assistance and maintenance of employer and claimant accounts to ensure the integrity of the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Trust Fund.

Desirable Qualifications
- UI or social benefit program administration knowledge and experience.
Experience performing analysis on processes and workloads.
Practical experience with training, coaching and mentoring.
Experience working in a production-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Proficient computer skills and experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
