Description
UCR's Office of Research Integrity (ORI) promotes the highest standards of research excellence and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations.
This position is responsible for providing support and leadership to various research compliance areas covered by the ORI.The Research Compliance Analyst will be responsible for providing support and leadership to the Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) as well as providing back up support, as needed, to the other compliance committees such as the Stem Cell Research Oversight (SCRO).
The Research Compliance Analyst will serve as a resource to faculty and will ensure that federal and state laws, as well as UC policy, are applied correctly.
The Research Compliance Analyst will work closely with faculty to facilitate the ethical conduct of research.This position also interacts with a variety of campus and system-wide offices to facilitate the management, administration and conduct of research.
The hiring department can recruit and fill this role at different levels within the position classification series. This position is posted here as a Research Compliance Analyst 3 (job # and a Research Compliance Analyst 4 (job # Applicants are encouraged to review all three positions to determine the best match for their skills and experience. All applicants will be assessed based on the minimum requirements for the level(s) for which they applied. If you wish to be considered in multiple pools or are unsure, please apply for all positions. The full salary range for the Research Compliance Analyst 3 is $71,100 - $128,700 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $99,900 annually.We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Communicates with researchers and provides guidance on how to resolve particular issues and meet requirements of external regulatory bodies, and properly documents these actions in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Applies research compliance professional concepts to review and pre-review complex research protocols, as well as documentation of research.Provides guidance on preparing and revising research applications.
Trains individuals and departments on relevant compliance processes, forms and policies.
Working with others in the office, provides administrative support and leadership for the Institutional Review Boards (IRBs).
When needed, may provide administrative support to other research compliance committees such as the Conflict of Interest (COI), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Stem Cell Research Oversight (SCRO) and Dual Research of Concern (DURC).Provides committee support including meeting coordination, maintenance of committee records, coordination of review process, tracking of required updates and renewals, and database management.
