- General Ledger Maintenance:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely into the general ledger system.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and send invoices to customers, monitor accounts receivable aging, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Support the financial reporting process by compiling and analyzing financial data.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budget variances and provide analysis to management as needed.
- Fixed Assets and Depreciation:
- Maintain fixed asset records and reconcile to the general ledger.
- Calculate and record depreciation expenses accurately.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
- Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
